LCG was the lead consultant working on behalf of McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. to develop, document, implement and track the construction and workforce utilization performance metrics of the Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center Replacement Project Phases 1 and 2. LCG worked with Kaiser staff and the prime contractor to develop an innovative Design Assist Mentorship program, Technical Assistance program, and a Construction Management Mentee Program. These programs deepened the commitment that Kaiser Permanente and McCarthy Building Companies (MBC) made to the local construction community by supporting local diverse subcontractors, providing mentorship and expert consultants for individual training programs, and most importantly providing direct access to high-level personnel from Kaiser and MBC. LCG oversaw the mentor/protégé program that provided direct construction management experience to the protégé firms. LCG also coordinated all outreach meetings for the various project bid opportunities, hosted one-on-one training and group workshop sessions.
